Toronto songwriter and retro pop diva Margo Salnek's writing and singing style are reminiscent of World War II radio songstresses who kept the 'boys' company.  Margo's new release - a contemporary pop-retro sound - is not bluesy enough to keep you company in your purest misery.  Rather it's a blend of tunes that you'll want to listen to when you feel just a little on the bright side of melancholy: one of those CDs that makes you want to sip champagne, look out the window, and let a few tears fall down your cheek as you remember good times realized and opportunities spent.  Of the 10 tracks, 9 are originals.  The exception is Margo's version of Louis Jordan's Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby.  Sultry singing, sexy sax and mournful horns - it's all here!
